Purchase: I purchased this saddle new from Smith's Tack Shack for $560.00 plus $50.00 shipping. I bought it thinking it would work on both my big round Morgan and my normal sized Morgan, and maybe my Haflinger pony.
Likes: I liked the price, round skirts, color, stirrups. and rigging.
Dislikes: The saddle didn't work because the flex panels were not attached evenly. One was attached about 1/4 to 1/2 inch ahead of the other which gave the saddle a twisted, lopsided, and unstable feeling when riding. This also threw off the rigging. One of the panels was floppier than the other and had an annoying squeak. These saddles are not designed to be used with much padding either. I figured this out when I padded up my normal sized Morgan as usual and put the flex saddle on. It felt like I was riding a camel.
Quality: The quality of the leather and sewing seemed to be fine.
Summary: I tried to exchange the saddle for a straight one but mine was the straightest out of all the others in the warehouse. I ended up returning it for a full refund minus the $100 I lost in shipping. Otherwise it's a nice saddle for the money.
