Purchase: I purchased this saddle on eBay for $1500 used. Narrow fit. 17.5 seat
Likes: My County Competitor saddle just didn't seem to fit my 16.3 TB very well. After much research I decided to keep my eye out for a used Amerigo Deep seat. I feel like I lucked out! The narrow tree fits my boy just right and the 17.5 seat is so comfortable. The saddle puts you in the correct position without force even though the saddle has fairly large knee rolls. The seat can tend to tip you forward a little, but that just reminds me to sit up and ride correctly. I just feel so secure and comfy and so does my boy.
Dislikes: Not a darned thing!!
Quality: The quality is fabulous. The leather although a few years old looks like new. They hold up well. I can see why people pay thousands of $$ for a new Amerigo. You get what you pay for!! It has the V billet system. The design of the Amerigo Deep Seat seems to suit the TB type horses very well.
Summary: If anyone is on the fence about these saddles, all I can say is go for it! They are fab and your horse will thank you too!!
The quality is first class and well worth every penny. Maybe in a few years I can buy a brand spanking new one!!
