Purchase: I bought this cooler from Dover Saddlery for approximately $100.
Likes: I love the fleece that this cooler is made of. It is nice and thick, but not too heavy. This cooler is excellent at wicking sweat and moisture off of a hot horse. It usually takes less than 1 hour to get my very sweaty TB dry in the winter. (Without a cooler it's closer to 4 hours. Other coolers fell somewhere in the middle) The buckles at the neck are very handy and the cooler seems to fit most horses sizes 14-16 hands. The cooler can certainly be used on larger horses, but does not cover them poll to tail as designed. This cooler is 84"x90" so perhaps there is a larger size that Dover does not carry.
Dislikes: The nylon to the buckles on the neck closures slips through the buckles so it does not stay closed if your horse moves around much (eating hay, etc.) The cooler stays on, just not all the buckles. You could sew the end of the nylon on the buckles so this wouldn't happen.
Quality: This cooler has held up very well to multiple washings.
Summary: I highly recommend this cooler. I only wish it came in a larger size for my larger horses.
