Purchase: I purchased this bridle from Dover Saddlery approximately 6 months ago for $90 on sale.
Likes: I needed an oversize dressage bridle for my two larger draft crosses that do not fit my horse sized Cadence dressage bridles ( << I love these bridles!!)
This Crown bridle does fit the larger of the two draft crosses. That's about all I like about it.
Dislikes: The first day I tried it on one of my horses he rubbed his nose on the stall wall in front of him and scraped the dye off the caveson. This bridle is fairly cheaply made.
My Cadence bridles have been scraped repeatedly and still look like new (with only very minor indents from the scraping, no discoloring)
This bridle is also oddly sized. The caveson is on the smallest hole on my larger draft cross and does not go small enough for my next smaller draft cross (who is too big for any horse sized bridle I've tried)
So, the leather is okay (not great) and the dying process is downright poor and the the bridle definitely runs large.
Quality: Not good. See dislikes.
Summary: I will never buy another Crown bridle. It is poorly made and oddly sized. It is definitely over priced as I would expect something of this quality to be in the $30 range (more like suffolks - which are actually nicer)
