Purchase: I first purchased one of these halters from Dover Saddlery about 1 year ago for $20 on sale.
Likes: This is a great leather halter. It's in the price range of most nylon halters and looks great. It has pretty nice leather and is adjustable under the nose and behind the poll to fit a large variety of horses. It is also available in over sized which is great for larger horses. It's a beautiful halter for a great price. I liked it so much, I ordered 3 more for the other horses and an extra for a spare.
Dislikes: I really like this halter. It is $20 an is comparable to several $40 halters I've purchased in the past. Of course, it is not as nice of leather as the $100 halters, but it is quite nice leather.
Quality: These halters are well constructed. I have no doubt that they would break under severe stress (the purpose of leather halters), but my larger draft crosses have pulled lightly on them without them breaking unnecessarily. They are definitely well made.
Summary: I highly recommend this halter to everyone. Go buy one now!! LOL
