Jumping Saddles
Manufacturer: Euroriding
Model: Jade Jumping
Category: Jumping Saddles
Purchase: I bought this saddle as used from a local retailer. It cost me EUR 600,- It was one of many jumping saddles I tried and suited me best of all. It was in good condition too.
Likes: This is a very fine jumping saddle. Not too big or heavy, with flaps well in front to enable me to use short stirrup leathers. I am a tall, long-legged rider and my problem have always been my knees protruding in front of the flaps as I shortened the stirrup leathers for cross country jumps. In this saddle I completely forgot about this problem. My legs are in a good position all the time. Front and back blocks are of medium size, providing sufficient support for the leg while jumping but not restricting the movements. One of the best points of this saddle is its seat. Half deep, extremely soft and comfortable. Not to narrow in the front, for me its just ideal.
Dislikes: The only drawback I would point out is the quality of the leather of the inner parts of the saddle. The seat and flaps are super, but the leather under the flaps is of poorer quality and although the whole saddle is in very good condition, it loses paint a bit underneath. However this is "economy line" of saddles so I'm not disgusted at all.
Quality: The quality of the unit is surprisingly fine as for this price level of saddles. Despite the little drawback I described above, I'm happy with the leather. One more good news is that I don't need the help of a man to put my stirrup leathers in. They come in and out very easily, which I find a helpful feature of a saddle. There is nothing exceptional about the look of this saddle, just a classic modern jumping saddles but very well thought through and executed.
Summary: I must say I never considered buying a jumping saddle of this brand. But only when I rode this saddle did I realize it was a mistake. This saddle suits me much better than more expensive and better-known brands. Do not discard these saddles before you ride them. They are really worth it.
