Purchase: My horses live in a pasture 24/7 and I needed a large water tank for 7 horses. Plus two are inquisitive youngsters and a floating de-icer was not an option. This tank offers a heating element that replaces the threaded plug at the base.
paid: around $65.00
Likes: Rounded corners, holds a lot of water, heating element at base.
Dislikes: It is advertised not to split but mine did. Granted it is about 5 years old but I expected it to last longer. The split occurred about 1/3 from the top where the molding indents.
Quality: Well it split! So the one I purchased is not of good quality.
Summary: The design is great. Nothing for a horse to injure itself with and the option of having a heater at the base and so the wires are at ground level keeps my beasts from destroying it.
