Purchase: I found this little gem in an obscure feed store stuffed in a corner. I was looking for a wide tree western saddle for my 16.2 hand warmblood for trail riding and although this saddle had some show silver, the patina did not force you into wearing sunglasses on a sunny day. Even though this was not a trail saddle I know a good saddle when I see it and bought it for $800!
Likes: I ride english and so I feel there is too much leather between me and my horse when riding in most western saddles. This saddle is not like that. The seat is very comfortable with almost the same feel as my Crosby Soft Ride. I am even getting used to the silver!
Dislikes: Nothing. Well it is a little heavy lifting that onto a tall horse. But I do not have a lot of experience with western saddles so maybe this one is light for its type.
Quality: Excellent. The leather is gorgeous and stitching is perfect.
Summary: Great saddle. Show ring or out on the trails this saddle does it all.
