Purchase: I bought this saddle for a total of $565, but they had a sale and refunded $100 after I tried the saddle for 3 days, and let them know I was happy with the saddle's fit and quality.
Likes: The saddle is the first one I have bought that fits my round and short backed Haflinger. I had to send in some measurements and photos and with the help of the saddlery's staff I ordered their "wide" tree. It fit my boy like a dream, no roll, no moving as we rode...it was a match made in heaven...This is the best fitting saddle I have ever owned. The double padded seat is great as well. The fenders are made from synthetic, but they have some type of material sandwiched in them and they take a bend like leather and this results in the stirrups being in the right position for mounting every time...I love this saddle!!
Dislikes: The only thing I didn't like about the saddle was the metal ring they attach to the back of the seat, it is like s crupper ring. It rattles when you are moving out. I wrapped it in black electrical tape, and now everything is great. Wish they had the option of leaving this ring off. Once it is on if you remove it you will see the two screw holes.
Quality: The quality is extremely good, with the fit and finish better than any other/synthetic comb. saddle I have tried. I have two, a Bighorn and Circle Y leather/synthetic combo saddle, and since I have bought my Crestridge Saddlery saddle they are gathering dust.
Summary: The quality of the saddle and the expert help sizing my saddle to fit my horse could guarantee can't be beat! Will buy any other saddles I need from these folks and I hope in the future they will offer a roping saddle...
