Purchase: We paid somewhere in the region of £3000 brand new from a local dealer. We bought it to replace our old trailer and because we didn't really like Ifor Williams's we decided to go for a Bateson.
Likes: Its lovely and light to tow. Very easy to maneuver about hitching up etc. It also has very nice features like the lockable saddle box at the front. It has loads of room and is very bright (being white) and airy inside. It also remains cool on hot days. The rubber matting is excellent and can be pulled out to clean underneath.
Dislikes: Some things where left uncovered like the springs on the side ramp - it connected to the trailer by a hook. My horse managed to hook his head collar onto it..... a serious accident very nearly occurred as my horse panicked and it took quite a few people to free him by hacking through his head collar! We have now taped over these bits. Apart from this, it is excellent!
Quality: Very high quality, trailer still looks pretty much brand new. Partition, flooring etc. is still in great condition. I think it will last a long time.
Summary: A super lightweight trailer which is lovely for the horses to load and travel in.
