Purchase: I bought a gel girth from State Line Tack. It is the only one they have carried. This goes for all gel girths remotely like it because the only ones I have seen with gel are like this one. I just can't remember any exact brand. I wanted I comfortable non-chafe girth
Likes: seemed comfortable because of the gel.
Dislikes: PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE GIRTHS!!!!!
Not only does it chafe badly, but the horses act extremely strange with it. It is very scary how it affects the horses. They act like they are colicing with this girth. I have had many problems on many types of horses. I have seen other people at shows having a strange problem with how their horse was acting...well, they had this girth on and so i told them.....removing that girth fixed these horses immediately. Very scary stuff how they act like they are colicing.
Only one horse ever seemed ok with the girth, and it's because he wont let it be known when he is hurting. Once i switched, he was performing better. He did get extremely chafed from it too.
