Purchase: I originally bought the older model on eBay for a good price. Now I have the new model that I traded a martingale for with a friend. The retail it $199
Likes: This pad is worth every penny, even though I am poor. Every horse I have tried it on LOVES it! This pad has amazingly fixed many cold-backed horses completely and I can tell that all of the horses prefer it. If I ever ride them without it now, they act cranky. This pad fits very well on many horses. It really helps make up for where a saddle doesn't fit a horse. The Supracors have a honeycomb construction , which allows for proper collapse under pressure. There is also stiffer honeycomb in the front to make up for the excess pressure from the saddle. I will never ride a horse without it. I have known to stay away from gel pads since they don't have room for the gel to squish around and are, therefore, useless. This pad is not made to use as a half pad without anything under it. I haven't tried the cover you can get with it. I just use a normal saddle pad. So, it can never cause harm to your horse at all. You should never put a plastic-like covered pad directly on a horse's skin. Either get the cover they offer, or use it with a pad like normal. This pad is also very breathable, durable, and washes up easily.
Dislikes: The price, but well worth it.
Quality: I have never had a problem even with long-term heavy use. Super-high quality. Best supportive/protective pad on the market
Summary: A must-buy for anyone concerned with the comfort of their horse, and to correct any problems. You will not regret it! This pad is more important than the saddle for the horse's comfort!
