Purchase: A friend gave me this beautiful brown and aqua pad. I do not know how much it cost.
She gave me the pad because I was afraid that the pad I was using was allowing the saddle to put too much pressure on my horse's shoulders. I also had a problem with my saddle lifting up in the back.
Likes: I love everything about this pad. It is so good looking under my Colorado Saddlery Desert Classic saddle. Best of all, it fits my wonderful horse and the saddle doesn't lift up in the back, it stays in contact with the pad all the way down the horse's back. My horse seems very comfortable with this pad and moves easily under it.
Dislikes: The fleece liner gets dirty very quickly, I am thinking of using a quilted liner under it but I don't want to decrease the comfort factor for my horse.
Quality: This is a high quality pad with excellent construction. The canvas top is heavy and tight, and the roll and edging are beautifully made. The fleece liner is high quality and bunch or "pill". The embossed wear leathers are not only functional, they add a nice touch of class.
Summary: I really like the way this pad looks and fits my horse. The retro Western look tickles my fancy and looks great. I can't wait for my trail riding buddies to see it!
I also enjoy feeling that my horse is more comfortable and enjoying the ride as much as I am!
