Purchase: I bought this saddle at a local tack shop. Fortunately, they are willing to match or beat Internet prices. I got the saddle with all the fittings for $825.
Likes: This is one of the most comfortable saddles I have ever used! My last Wintec was an all purpose and I got 8 years of use out of it (would have used it longer but I bought a new horse). It fits my TB/Percheron cross very well with an extra wide tree, and it's very lightweight. The deep seat makes you feel very secure, and I'm all for a saddle that is easy to care for. From the first ride, I felt like it fit perfectly!
Dislikes: The cantle in the back as high (of course, part of the reason the seat is deep) and when dismounting you have to remember to swing your leg high. The equisuede sometimes contributes to your leg "sticking" a bit, but I'm sure I'll get used to this.
Quality: The saddle is beautifully constructed and high quality all the way around. I love the leathers that come with it, and the leg positioning is great. Not so far back that you feel awkward, but definitely helps you get behind the girth.
Summary: I absolutely love this saddle. No break-in period, fits my horse very well, and an affordable price (though by no means cheap). I've waited a long time to buy this saddle, and couldn't be happier!
