Purchase: I purchased this saddle at The Cheshire Horse (tack shop) for $1400.00 and chose it because I wanted a comfortable trail saddle and liked the look of this model.
Likes: O M G! I have never been this comfortable in a saddle........ever! (and I've ridden in many!) This saddle has it all... looks, function, quality, COMFORT, and (relatively) light in weight. It fits my horse perfectly (its a wide tree) and he moves like a dream in it. I like the low horn and cantle because I feel held in but also have freedom to shift my position as needed. Its a western saddle, but its not overdone... meaning, the tooling is understated and classy. The 24" skirt is good for me (good size for a woman to manage and lift) and for my horse (doesn't hit his hip and just looks so balanced and nice). The fenders are 2" at the stirrup so they're easy to break in and the stirrups are western laced so they are rounded and comfy against my boot.

Quality: The quality is there 110%! It comes with a sturdy leather off billet and latigo tie strap (which I prefer over nylon) with a neoprene girth.. sooo easy to cinch up. The hardware gleams, the leather is tough where it needs to be but supple and smooth. The Gelcush seat is "over the top" with comfort..I just can't put into words how nice it is, really.
Summary: Can you guess?....I HIGHLY recommend this saddle and if there's any way you can get your hands on one, DO IT!!!!!!! This saddle is the best of all possible worlds on horseback....seat comfort (and I'm talkin'..all day comfort!!) freedom and security, plenty of rings and ties to carry stuff, tough and serviceable for those long rides, comfort for the horse, extremely handsome and stylish (comes in many options of colors, rigging, stirrups, tooling with matching tack if you like). In a nutshell, its everything you want and need in a saddle and nothing you don't.
