Purchase: I bought this from Dover Saddlery during their summer sale for $1300, instead of the $2400 list price (and I have seen it listed at other places for that price)
Likes: It is INCREDIBLY comfortable. The leather is soft, it breaks in quite quickly. I like cushy saddles, and it is padded enough in the seat to be comfortable but is still a close contact saddle. It fits my legs really well and allows me to be in the correct position both for jumping and equitation. The recessed stirrup bars are nice, they don't form a bump and are not impossible to put your leathers on. Everyone else that has tried it also finds it quite comfortable. I have the regular tree and it fits both my somewhat high-withered TB and a very stocky QH pony I ride comfortably.
Dislikes: Not much. When it first arrives, it is a little light for my tastes, but with conditioning turns a beautiful deeper color. The billets are somewhat stiff, even with conditioning. The one thing that truly annoys me is how hard it is to find!
Quality: I've had it for 6 months, riding in it several times a week and it has held up great. The leather is in great shape and I have noticed no damage. I have only conditioned it once (I know, I'm bad) but it is very soft and in great condition.
Summary: It's a great saddle! Very comfortable for the price. I'm not sure that I would buy it for $2400, but even for the $1400 that Dover usually had it listed at, its a great deal! I would definitely buy it again (although I don't expect to have to get a new one for years!)
