Purchase: When I first saw this saddle - I wanted to try it. When I tried it - I wanted one. In only a few days I discovered my friend had one for sale. I paid $850 for a used saddle but still in a great condition.
Likes: I have tried many dressage saddles in my life. Judging this Jaguar by looking I thought it could well get into my top five. But in fact it has become my number one. This is the most comfortable and gently supporting saddle I've ever ridden. The seat is deep and very soft. The knee rolls are perfect for a long - legged person that I am. There is absolutely nothing I have to force myself to do to maintain correct position. My leg rests comfortably just behind the knee roll and I feel so great in this saddle in all paces. The saddle is rather lightweight and perfectly suits my TB with a sensitive back.
Dislikes: Nothing!
Quality: The quality of the leather is wonderful. Although my unit wasn't obviously well taken care of ( judging by pieces of duct tape at the back of the seat and a layer of dust over the saddle ), leather grease makes it look like new. My horse is slightly oversensitive but he moves more freely since we switched to Jaguar. My former dressage saddle was bigger and tougher and he never moved that well when I rode in it.
Summary: I strongly recommend that you try this saddle before buying another one. Especially if you ride a sensitive or narrow backed horse. It is not cheap but it is well worth the money it costs. The only typical problem of this saddles is that they seldom suit horses with very wide backs. But for me and my TB this is a perfect choice.
