Purchase: In-hand custom fitted show bridle for welsh pony. Purchased over internet for $186 including matching lead.
Likes: Bridle arrived quickly. Construction and leather quality are ok. Stitching is even.
Dislikes: In my experience in-hand bridles are just not made with as good quality leather or as fine stitching as an equivalently priced riding bridle. Compared to an edgewood, beval, or similar riding bridle the stitching is not as fine and leather is not as good. For a small welsh pony head the width of the leather tends to overwhelm the ponies face.
Quality: Construction and quality are ok, but nowhere near as good as a similarly priced riding bridle.
Summary: As far as in-hand bridles go, this is probably one of the nicest but still doesn't compare to a nice riding bridle. Clarwood farm is very easy to work with and I would buy from them again.
