Purchase: I ordered a premium zippered horse lycra hood from their website at www.smooth-ez.4t.com. I paid $54.00 for this hood.
Likes: I am extremely happy with this hood. The lycra although advertised as 5.5 ounce fabric is much heavier than other hoods that I have purchased both from EBay and from local tack stores. The fabric is an excellent 4way stretch and you can see that they use care in sewing these hoods. I was quite impressed with the zipper installation in as much as they actually serge the zipper in and then install a piece of fabric to protect the horse from the zipper. All of the seams are serged and finished off and the elastic belly band is actually sewn into a sleeve so the elastic can not irritate my horse. This is by far one of the best manufactured hoods that I have ever seen.
Dislikes: The only thing I don't like is the fact that I didn't outfit my entire barn at the same time. I will be buying more of these and they guarantee a color match on their hoods for future ordering.
Quality: As I said above the quality of this hood stands out from all the rest. I have bought hoods from other online suppliers listed on EBay and other websites and I am extremely impressed with the quality of the materials as well as the sewing on the hoods. There is no doubt this hood will last for several show seasons.
Summary: The bottom line here is that if you are looking for a top quality hood or mane tamer then look no further. Smooth-EZ Horse Wear has the best product for the best price and their customer service is unbeatable.
