Purchase: I bought the Butet saddle by Beval Saddlery in October 2006. I bought it used for $3250.00. That may sound like a lot but the saddle was made in 06 and it looks brand new.
Likes: The first thing that I like about the saddle is the narrow twist that the seat has. Being a male rider it is very hard to find a comfortable saddle and this is the one saddle other than the Courbette brand that is capable of providing a comfortable ride without any discomfort. I also love the quality of the leather it is as soft as butter but very tough. However, the calfskin on the saddle seat and knee pads is very soft so you cannot ride in it in jeans because it will start to wear away. The tree on this saddle is also great, I have a 16.1h paint that is sort of hard to fit and this saddle fits his back like a glove without having to have the tree custom made for his back. Lastly the comfort level is a 10 out of 10 the seat is super soft and you feel like your riding on a pillow.
Dislikes: There is nothing that I do not like about this saddle. It was the best purchase I have made in my life. It was totally worth it!
Quality: Once again I like the quality of the leather and the wide range of horses it will fit. Also the comfortable ride that it gives.
Summary: This product is high quality, and true to everything that it states it is. I would recommend this saddle to anyone who wants quality and comfort in their saddle.
