Purchase: I purchased this saddle through one of Ansur's distributors about 3 months ago and paid $2700.00 which included all their pads.
Likes: The saddle is constructed well and has average quality leather. Those are the only things I like about the saddle.
Dislikes: The saddle does not fit all horses like the company claims. I have a lot of trouble fitting many of my horses. The saddle continues to slide back very far while you are ridding thus being very uncomfortable for the horse and rider. Anyone who wants to ride hunt seat equitation will have a lot of trouble since the saddle wants to sit too far back. The saddle also wants to roll from side to side while riding. I have tried many different no-slip pads and girths none of which really helped. I have also contacted the company about these concerns and they really don't provide much help either.
Quality: The overall construction and quality is good. The leather could be a little softer and better quality.
Summary: Anyone thinking about purchasing an Ansur for hunt seat riding should really borrow one and ride in it several times before buying it. My experience is that the company doesn't stand behind their products like they advertise.
