Purchase: I was searching for a saddle that would fit my very overweight morgan gelding. I was having serious saddle fitting issues. I researched treeless saddles and thought maybe that was what I needed. I read all of the reviews that I could find including the reviews on this page. I was almost committed to buying a different saddle but when I read the reviews from this site about that saddle I realized what a mistake that would be. I ordered the Trekker from Their website in Germany and paid $1200 CAD. Shipping, taxes and duty included.
Likes: I love this saddle, it fits like a dream, the quality is exceptional. The leather is soft as butter but strong enough to withstand some abuse. All of the stitching and hardware are very well done. The pad that I purchased with the saddle is wonderful and not as expensive as most of the treeless pads out there. (The $1200 included pad, fenders and stirrups and a leather girth) The saddle looks more western than in the pictures on the website and is more secure than it looks. All of my friends that have seen the saddle want to try it out and cant believe the quality and look of this saddle.
Dislikes: The only problem I had was that it took almost a month to get from Germany to Canada but that is pretty standard and I was just impatient to get back in the saddle again.
Quality: The quality and construction of this whole package is phenomenal I will buy another one of these for my husband when I can get him riding more.
Summary: Bottom line: I would recommend this saddle to anyone that is interested in a very good reasonably priced treeless saddle. If like me you have never seen one or ridden in one Trekker is great value and The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable to answer all of your questions by e-mail or phone. Which wasn't so with some of the other ones that I looked into. Good luck in your saddle search! I hope you end up as happy as I am.
