Purchase: This saddle came very lightly used with a horse that I was leasing.
Likes: I really loved this saddle. It naturally placed me in a correct position so I didn't have to fight against the saddle in order to sit correctly. I felt completely secure even though the horse I used this saddle with was a difficult ride due to his bucking. Even though this saddle is a dressage saddle I also found it extremely nice for trail riding. Because it offered such a secure seat, going up and down STEEP hills was not a problem.
Dislikes: There were only a few things I didn't like about the saddle. I didn't care for the equisuede. It is VERY obvious that the saddle is a synthetic and while it's easier to clean then a regular leather saddle it is much harder to clean then a synthetic leather. The equisuede picked up lots of dust. On the surface of the saddle this wasn't hard to clean but near the stitches and grooves it was near impossible to get out.
I also didn't care for the overgirth on this saddle. It was just one more strap that I had to do up. It made it almost impossible to tighten the girth from the saddle so you had to dismount to do so. Since I was riding a very large horse this was a problem for me.
The seat of the saddle was also very hard. If it wasn't for this factor the saddle would have been so comfortable I could stay in it for 24/7. So I would suggest getting a seat saver if someone wants to spend a lot of time in this saddle.
Quality: The construction of the saddle was excellent no complaints.
Summary: I really love the saddle and it is very versatile with the gullet changing system and the y girthing system. However I don't like Wintec's advertising. They make it sound like the saddle will fit any horse and while it fit mine fine it won't fit every horse fine. The gullet changing system only changes the width of the tree at the front of the saddle not the back. So if you have a very narrow or a very wide horse this may not be the saddle for you. But overall an excellent saddle.
