Purchase: By State line Catalog mail order. I primarily purchased the half chap to endurance ride in Texas Competitions. I paid $79.99 without tax and shipping costs.
Likes: I enjoy the ease of using them, it has a well placed and strong zipper. The gripping power is substantial through my trail rides. The product also excelled with Hot weather issues, ie. horse sweat and people sweat, ventilation. Plus they look sharp with any choice of riding clothes I've made.
Dislikes: The stirrup piece is starting to show a little wear and I suspect I may have to replace it in a few years, key word being "years". Not much I don't like about Ariat products.
Quality: Excellent in quality. They have been durable through all "Warm Weather" conditions. A huge plus is the reflective piping located on the top and bottom portion. It really works when it gets dark and even showed up in some photos.
Summary: I have gotten many compliments on how they look and have been asked as many times "Where can I get those?!" "What colors do they come in?" I am overall very pleased with these half chaps. I have to say they are a perfect match to my helmet, which is a bronze color and it was hard to find such a product to match. These terrain chaps pair perfectly with the Duma Sneakers that I bought. Even when not competing these chaps are perfect just for my "fun" trail riding in warmer weather. I don't recommend them for cold conditions and deep mud.
