Purchase: By State line Catalog mail order. I primarily purchased the sneaker to endurance ride in Texas Competitions. I paid $99.99 without tax and shipping costs. I selected the taupe color sneaker to match my taupe Ariat Terrain chaps.
Likes: The comfort! They are so great to wear! My feet are not screaming at me at the end of an endurance ride or regular trail ride. These sneakers excelled with Hot weather issues. Plus they look sharp with any choice of riding clothes I've made. Coming from a "Proper" riding background I never thought I'd ride in "sneakers" but I got over that real quick after the first test ride.
Dislikes: They do seep moisture in deep mud, obviously. These are sneakers after all but coupled with the matching terrain chaps they hold up well in most conditions. Not much I don't like about Ariat products.
Quality: Since my move from TX to NY, They have taken a substantial beating and I have nothing but high marks for the construction and durability of these sneakers. Well thought out by Ariat.
Summary: I have received numerous compliments on how these taupe sneakers match the Ariat terrain chaps and even my bronze colored riding helmet. And "Where can I get those?" questions are non stop. I've use these sneakers in all of my warm weather pleasure trail rides and endurance competitions. Unfortunately now that the cold weather is here I have to retire them until spring. Now I would love to see how the Ariat Glacier boots will hold up in a NY winter!?
