Purchase: I bought this saddle from State Line Tack for I think $500. I bought it for my little Arabian mare, who I wanted to do both dressage and jumping (and a little cross country). We also are endurance racers (she's a tough little mare) and so we needed a saddle that is easy to clean and comfy.
Likes: I liked the seat, it was comfy, even after 6 hours of riding. I also liked how the flaps were cut, they were well suited for both jumping, flat and trail. They were also nice for galloping.
Dislikes: The tree broke after 6 months. Completely in half. If this was not frustrating enough, the wear on the billets and seat was awful. The D rings aren't big enough to clip a breast collar to, so they're kind of useless. I would have forgiven Wintec if this had not been my THIRD Wintec saddle in one year. Granted, I do ride a lot and often, but the amount of wear was ridiculous.
Quality: Obviously, the construction was fine at first, but deteriorated very quickly.
Summary: Overall, I would not recommend Wintec unless you are going to buy the top of there line, or if you only ride 1 or 2 times a month.
