Purchase: I purchased these stirrups from Dover Saddlery for about $99.00. I purchased them because they were safety stirrups that didn't look like the traditional safety stirrups.
Likes: I have owned mine for two years now. I like the way they look. They don't look like regular safety stirrups with the rubber bands. I show in mine and use them for everyday use. I also like the pad at the bottom of the stirrups. They grip really well. I really like the fact that they are a product designed to make riding safer.
Dislikes: At first, they squeaked really bad. But after the first month with regular applications of WD 40, they don't squeak. I also don't like the sizing of the stirrups. They only come in 2 sized and one seemed too small and the larger is a little to large. They are larger than regular stirrups. If I had to do it over again, I would buy the smaller size, but the size I have is fine. They also have a small orange sticker (that you can't remove) on the outside of the stirrups so that you can hang them properly on the leathers. I simply bought a silver pen and colored over it. Nobody has noticed.
Quality: The stirrups are well made and sturdy. I did replace the pad on the bottom due to wear but the replacement was easier than expected. I used a razor blade to remove the old one and the new one was very easy to apply. For those who follow the advice of George Morris and his love of heavy stirrups, these are for you. They weight a lot more than regular stirrups.
Summary: Great safety product that you can show in. I would buy again even though they are expensive.
