Purchase: I had a gift certificate to a tack shop near me so I got these. Price was $79.99.
Likes: I always ride in chaps. Only while showing do I wear breeches. I like these because they are affordable, not like the hundreds you will spen on custom chaps. They broke in fairly quickly, but I used them every day too. In the summer I can wear shorts to the barn and throw these on when I ride. In the winter, they help keep my legs warm.
Dislikes: They're sizes ran funny. I'm a 10 and usually wear medium but I had to get these in a large for my hips. However, then they were too long so I had to get them altered. That was another $30 because of also needing the zippers to be shortened.
Quality: Mine are suede and they wear well. Of course they are scuffed up and dirty but that's what they are supposed to do. They fit great.
Summary: I prefer chaps because they just help keep you in the saddle, legs in correct positions, etc. I've had these and a paid of devon aire and they are just about equal. Can't go wrong with either of them and the prices are the same too.
