Purchase: I ordered this pad along with my saddle on E-bay. The pad separately was $75.00
Likes: I like that it fits the saddle perfectly. It also has velcro to attach to the d-rings on the saddle to prevent it from slipping under the saddle while riding. It is washable and has extension pieces with nylon loops that keep your cinch ring from rubbing or pinching your horse, everything is kept in place.
Dislikes: I don't like that the seam binding comes together at the withers area on the horse. It is a nylon web material and where the seam meets the opposing seam it is bulky and a bit sharp. It is a shame that most people get this kind of saddle because they usually have fitting problems with other designs of saddles, then you get this brand of saddle and it fits good, but the pad leaves hairless spots on the horse.
Quality: Quality is good except for problem stated above. The under side has a rubbery lining with a pebble texture. This helps prevent the saddle from slipping when you have a treeless saddle. Where the horses spine is, there are nylon web straps placed every couple inches to provide an open area for the spine to have freedom of movement.
Summary: At first I loved this pad. I thought the price was a bit high, but with such a special saddle I wanted to make sure my horse was totally comfortable, so I got the pad that matched the saddle. It wasn't until after 3 months that I noticed the 2 wear marks on my horses withers that ironically match up with those two seams on the pad's seam binding. So now I don't like it as much. I think the design could be improved upon.
