Purchase: I bought these boots at a local tack shop to replace a pair that I had gotten rid of the previous summer. They cost around $70.00

Likes: They were very comfortable to walk around in and to ride in. I had spent the entire winter in rubber insulated boots so real riding boots were a welcome change. These boots looked very nice and have held up rather well to very hard use. They came waterproofed right out of the box and with regular applications of mink oil stayed that way. The leather has worn well with no signs of holes or ripped lacing eyelets.

Dislikes: I am very hard on boots. The shoelaces did not last. They broke within a few months of buying the boots. But, they're shoelaces so easily replaced. By the end of the summer and fall my tendency to wear out boots is beginning to show. On one boot some of the toe stitching is beginning to wear. Soon the stitching will come out completely and expose my little tosies to the cold. On the other boot I have walked off the heel. The rubber outsole on the heel has cracked along the side and now my heel slips off the side when I walk. It's a pain and hurts my foot if I'm forced to wear them for extended periods of time.

Quality: The Quality of materials is excellent and still the leather looks healthy. The leather has out lasted the boot. The construction was good except for the heel cracking and leaving my foot without support. Any other wear is wear that I would consider normal for paddock boots.

Summary: These boot struck me as very nice and again I am very hard on boots. They seem ideal for a rider who visits the barn once or twice a week to ride, Or even for someone who takes better care of their boots. But don't expect to be able to do all the chores, bathe the horses, run through puddles, and ride in them for long.
