Purchase: I paid $1350 for this saddle at a saddlery shop in Kentucky. I picked out the High Plains saddle because I have a horse tree in this brand and like the comfort of it.
Likes: What I like about the mule tree is that it fits just about every mule I own to a "T". The mule bars keep the saddle at the correct orientation instead of rocking me forward like a horse tree does.
I like the gel seat and the quality of the saddle.
Dislikes: It is heavy for me as an older rider. When you get all the gear attached to it, it is a heavy lift.
I also wish I could purchase one for a lesser price. I have looked online at other mule saddle companies and have not found one that I would consider buying.
Quality: I cannot fault this saddle on the construction at all.
Summary: If anyone out there has a mule tree saddle that is lighter weight and loves it, I'd like to know.
But if you want a quality mule saddle that will keep you both comfortable on long rides, this is a good one!
