Purchase: I got these boots at a tack shop in NH for $180 about 7 years ago.
Likes: They are seven years old, and look like my ariat paddock boots after about 7 months. To me, that is all I need to like about them. the leather has looked great up until this year. The shine is better than new - I always get comments.
Dislikes: These boots were never comfortable. There is absolutely no support. The fit is miserable as well. My leg is fairly average, with 6 1/2 D feet. The calf is perfect, but the ankle is wayyy to large. The foot too is too narrow for my width, but my feet are abnormally wide. The leather on the foot broke in very "crack-y", but has not worsened since the initial "break in"
Quality: They look no worse than the initial break-in, and have not stretched more than normal. The sole is still in near-perfect condition, and the leather overall looks better than a fair portion of the latest boots.
Summary: The fit is a total bummer, but they have been very trustworthy. They are as tight as the day I got them in terms of stitching/construction, and even with the odd fit, they haven't let me down for appearance in the show ring.
