Purchase: I purchased the Coronet Flex stirrups at a local tack shop on the advise of a friend who had tried another brand of flex stirrups at a cost of $60.00. Since my budget is always tight, I really have to price shop. The cost for the Coronet Flex Stirrups was $36.50.
Likes: Due to health reasons, riding has been very stressful on all of my joints, particularly my feet. After having ridden in the Coronet Flex stirrups for approximately 30 minutes, I could already feel the difference. After dismounting, the pain in my feet was minimal. Needless to say, I was quite pleased since the cost was minimal also!
Dislikes: At this point, there is nothing to dislike about the stirrups.
Quality: The Coronet flex stirrups are well made and definitely act as shock absorbers!
Summary: As a baby boomer and having ridden for over 25 years, it is with wisdom that I can say the following: riding is just as hard on your joints as so many other sports and as we age this becomes even more noticeable. If there are products that can ease the stress of riding, it is to every rider's benefit whether you are young or old to try them. Yes, there are other manufacturers of flex stirrups which charge more for their products. However, if you are one of those cost conscious consumers, these stirrups are a great deal. Give them a try!
