Purchase: Purchased last year at State Line in Petsmart (emergency new horse in the barn purchase) paid about $150.
Likes: The blanket really is water proof. The outer layer doesn't fit tightly over the horse, but this prevents water from penetrating. The rear of the blanket really helps a horse who backs into a rain from getting wet under the blanket. Our horses are blanketed all winter with access to paddocks all of the time-- they tend to get normal blankets (despite claims of waterproof) wet. The Landa really does stay dry underneath. Seemed to hold up to 4 mos. of near continuous wear (minus a trip or two into the wash) with only one 3" rip in the side.
Dislikes: The same "tail flap" that keeps the horse warm also tends to collect some manure. Surcingles (belly) aren't removable for washing (get tangled in the washer). Wish they were less expensive (but would purchase again over a cheaper blanket that wasn't waterproof).
Quality: Construction quality is good. One of our knotheads managed to put a 3" rip into the side of his, but he's notorious for unstuffing most blankets.
Summary: Good blanket, really waterproof, wish it were cheaper, but would choose this blanket again over a cheaper blanket due to quality.
