Purchase: I wanted a saddle that had a wide weight baring area, wide channel(at least 3 fingers), plus had a nice wide tree that I could shim as needed-I follow the Balance saddling system, but can't afford an actual Balance saddle yet.
I purchased this saddle from Crazy Horse Tack for $599, with shipping and fittings (Stirrups, leathers and girth).
Likes: I love pretty much everything about it. I can fit +One hand in the front of the channel and three fingers in the very back, The CAIR panels are really nice on my older horse's, and on my youngster's back, I love the position it puts me in, both on the flat and over fences. I had no trouble changing the gullets what so ever.
Dislikes: The flaps could be slightly longer, my leg JUST fits with jumping length stirrups.
And I don't really like the synthetic billets, they're a little to stiff.
Quality: It is constructed nicely, and made from a high quality synthetic leather.
Summary: The bottom line is that I love this saddle, and so do my horses. Any complaints about it are just nit-picky things.
