Purchase: bought this saddle used in a tack shop for about $500, for my Freiberger draft horse
Likes: This saddle is incredibly comfortable and can be made to fit on almost any ridable animal, including my donkey, it's built with ultra top quality leather and Merino wool, it's western rigged and has many Ds for saddlebags, breastcollars, cruppers and so on.
Dislikes: While this saddle can be made to fit almost anything with four legs, you will need a special treeless saddle pad with interchangeable padding inserts to provide spine clearance, don't use ordinary english or western saddle pads as this will put a lot of pressure on the spine.
This saddle tends to roll if one tries to mount using the stirrups and with unbalanced riders.
Quality: This saddle is hand crafted in Italy with absolutely top quality leather and Merino wool, the overall quality and detailing is absolutely exquisite.
But this is not a saddle made to withstand abuse, dirt and neglect.
Summary: This is a great comfortable saddle and is a great choice if you have a draft horse or an haflinger...
