Purchase: I special ordered this saddle from The Martha Josey Web Site. I bought it less then 5 years ago for $1,200.
Likes: I like the tall horn and the swivel stirrups which sit you down when you are going in to the barrel and pop you up coming out of it.
Dislikes: This saddle is very uncomfortable which is a inconvenience for me as I ride this saddle for everyday riding. The conchos became a very dull color just a few months after I bought it along with the corner barrel racers on the skirt.
Quality: The leather is very durable and still in very good condition. The only bad thing about the swivel stirrups is that they pop out of the tree thus I have had to have the tree replaced twice in five years.
Summary: I would recommend this saddle for the construction and the durability. But not for comfort.
