Purchase: I literally went up and down the fly spray aisle reading what exactly each fly spray was supposed to do. I found UltraShield -- the spray my friend Leslie recommended and purchased it. My bottle was $14.50
Likes: What I do like about Absorbine UltraShield is that it tends to work better then any of the others I've tried. Not only is it pretty effective against mosquitoes, gnats, etc, it does not make the coat all greasy and nasty like some other sprays.
Dislikes: There's a few things I do not like about Absorbine UltraShield. For one, there is no way it works the suggested five days. I've had to reapply it two times a day, maybe more depending on the flies. Another would be that it needs to be applied quite liberally because of the fact that it does not work for the suggested time. Last, it doesn't make all of the bugs stay off of my horse, but it does make some of them.
Quality: UltraShield is made in a plastic black spray bottle and sprayer, with a black label on it. I've dropped it a few times and it has yet to crack. It really seems to be holding up.
Summary: I'd reccommend this product to anyone that can afford to spend $14.50-15.00 on a bottle of flyspray that has a good effectiveness. I'd suggest mixing in Avon Skin So Soft with it or Vinegar to make it more effective.
