Purchase: Saw on Web around June '06 when I was looking for an all purpose ranch saddle Price was approx $2700.
Likes: This is a great all purpose saddle in addition to being a beautifully well built saddle. Whether reining, roping, cutting or general ranch riding, this one can handle the job. It is really a rancher's dream saddle. The horn is a mite shorter and fatter than a tall slender cutter horn and guaranteed sound for roping and holding the big ones. The saddle is comfortable and puts the rider in close contact with the horse.
Dislikes: Absolutely nothing. Saddle fulfills my every hope and then some.
Quality: First Rate! Number #1 Hermann Oak or Wicket and Craig leather, real sheepskin, stainless hardware, hand tooling, Nettles or other choice stirrups. Each saddle is made by one experienced custom saddlemaker and hand tooling is done by a true artisan.
Summary: I like it!! Couldn't be more pleased or ask for a more comfortable or serviceable working saddle. It can stand up to the daily ranch tasks. I would certainly recommend Jerry Shaw saddles to anyone in the market for the best. His website is: jshawsaddles.com.
