Purchase: I bought this bridle off ebay for cheap. However, it retails at NRSworld.com for $129.99.
Likes: It is a pretty headstall, with good quality leather and tooling for the price you are paying. It's a very "western" headstall, meant for barrel racers, ropers, or anybody who wants something a little different. It's definitely not the stock horse show type!
Dislikes: The buckles and silver aren't the best quality, but they are good for the price you are paying. You can't expect sterling silver at this price. It looks as nice as Montana Silversmiths plated silver, without looking like stock Montana Silversmith silver that you see on everything out there!
The leather color is a little odd, although I know it will darken with age. It isn't light oil, and it isn't chestnut either. It's kind of got an orange hue to it. Subtle, but there.
Quality: Good quality. Will last a while. The leather is fully stitched around the edges, so it's not going to fraying or stretching anytime soon.
Summary: It's a nice looking bridle. Use it for your barrel or roping runs when you want something that looks nice but can get the job done too. Who really needs one of those $300 silver bridles when all you are going to do is get it muddy in a rodeo arena anyways?? :-)
