Purchase: I bought the Prestige stirrups recently from a friend having been very gently used. I paid $80, and can be found for around $100. I bought these stirrups because I have ridden in them often for the past few months and fell in love with them.
Likes: I like that the foot of the stirrup is quite wide. Because of that, I NEVER lose my stirrups! I previously started to invest in the flexible stirrups because I wanted to have a little help keeping my heels down when I jumped, but to also relieve my bad ankles from the old, stiff stirrups I previously had. I thought I had the perfect stirrups, until I found the Prestige stirrups. Not only do I not ever lose my stirrups, my ankles never hurt either. They are also incredibly light-weight.
Dislikes: Nothing!
Quality: The stirrups are made of a very tough, yet lightweight plastic which I have never seen chip, fade or break. Generally they come with two different inserts (one black plastic every-day insert, and another metal-like insert for more intense riding). They can also probably be used without inserts.
Summary: Although these stirrups are a bit pricey, they are well worth it! I feel so secure with these stirrups, and they never hurt my bad ankles! I love how light-weight, yet extremely durable they are! These are perfect stirrups for the dressage rider, and the more expensive flexible stirrups would be great for the jumpers!
