Purchase: This saddle is not actually mine. Its my trainers, but I've been using it for over two years and she has been using it about 10 years before me! She told me she paid about 1500 for it, but that was over 12 years ago, so the prices have come up I'm sure.
Likes: This saddle is simply magnificent! It fits just about every horse I've tried it in and the leather is still good after 12 years! no holes, no rips, no tears and the seat is so soft you wont want to ride in another saddle ever again. This saddle spoils you its so comfy! My trainer wants her saddle back so i am going to buy another ashland soon!
Dislikes: There is nothing to dislike about this saddle that i can think of except once you try it you wont want to ride in any other saddle ever again
Quality: the leather is top quality and like I said, after 12 years its still good! the knee rolls are perfect. not too big not too small. perfect for jumping. I have put it on a 17 hand thoroughbred to a 15.3 hand thoroughbred and it fits both nicely. Its very flexible
Summary: This saddle, in my opinion, is the best quality saddle you will ever find. after 12 years its still going strong. its also a light saddle and right now we are using it to exercise racehorses when they are boarded at our barn and need to be trotted before a race.
