Purchase: Purchased for me for Christmas at the local tack store. Since I put them on my Christmas list I know that they retail for $99.
Dover Saddlery carries them for $134.90.
Likes: I am a rein snob. Of all the tack that I have I am ultra picky about the reins that I use. I needed reins for my new jumping bridle and looked at these seriously at the tack store before putting them on my Christmas list.
First of all these are not bulky and inflexible like a lot of rubber reins. They are thinner and very pliable. When you're on the horse you have a lot of sensitivity with the bit and can "finesse" your way into getting the horse round. I normally go for thinner dressage like reins, but wanted something slightly beefier to hang on to for jumping. When I used these the first time I smiled all the way through my lesson. Very happy with the super grip strength.
Dislikes: I would like to see them offered in different sizes. I have a very large warmblood and seem to run out of reins when he's doing a free walk.
I'm using this for jumping so I'm not as concerned about the size.

My comment- Super grip strength.
Summary: I had all but given up on using rubber reins until I saw these. The grip strength and flexibility are terrific. Well worth the money.
