Purchase: Years ago, surfing the web for saddles I came across the Tucker. I was looking for a saddle that fit many gaited horses. Many years later, I purchased one. This saddle not only fit gaited horses, but Mustangs and every other horse I saddled that had the back for the size tree I had. Amazing twist in the tree. It fit straight shouldered horses as well as good angled shoulders.
Likes: I ride 6-8 hours on mountainous trails. Incredibly comfortable and well balanced for horse and rider. Saddle has appropriate accessories for trail riding. The leather was of good quality and good stitching. Not much movement in the saddle which is important for trail riding.
Dislikes: Hmmmm....tough to find something negative about this saddle. It has held up incredibly well over the years while riding through some pretty rough trail not to mention all the water I have gone through with this saddle. Saddle has held up extremely well. Could use a few more rings to add additional rigging, however, this is minor.
Quality: Twist in the tree happens to be incredibly constructed. Newer saddles are lighter than their older saddles. I prefer the older saddles but the new ones are well made as well. Leather is of good grade .
Summary: Go for it! With care, this saddle with last a very long time with heavy usage. Can't beat how it fits the horse and how it fits the rider. And, sooooo very comfortable for long rides. Great for the human back
