Purchase: I bought these used, but in excellent condition, from the classifieds section of a horse message board. I needed some leathers and these sounded good.
I paid $20 Cdn for them.
Likes: They're 58" which gives enough room to lenghthen them for dressage-type work, or shorten them right up for jumping.
The leathers are of great quality. The stitching is secure and even, and the holes are clearly numbered.
Dislikes: Because I'm fairly short (5'2") I had to add some extra holes so I could adjust the leathers to a comfortable length for when I'm doing speed work or training my horse.
Even though these leathers were only used for about 2 months (around 3 rides per week) before I bought them, the dye seems to be rubbing off in some areas (I can see the tan leather underneath). I find that after a ride, even if it's only for an hour, my breeches and saddle pad have a little dye on them. Thankfully it all comes out with a good scrubbing.
Quality: Overall, the construction and quality is good. They're not top-of-the-line, but they're not cheapo either.
Summary: Good leathers for an awesome price.
