Purchase: I looked for several months to find a barrel saddle to fit my extremely wide paint mare. I ordered one of Sharons performance light barrel saddles because they have the FQH bars and the drop down rigging for more even fit. I ordered the saddle from our local Courts dealer, and it took about 3 months to receive it. I paid $1100 for it.
Likes: I love my saddle. The leather quality is EXCELLENT. Its very comfortable for me and my horse. Having a good saddle improved our time by over a second!! I would highly recommend these saddles to anyone that has a WIDE horse. Another thing I'd like to add it the seats run a little big.. a 14" fits like a 14 1/2". And so on. I needed a 14 1/2 but I went with the 14" and it was perfect for me.
Dislikes: The only thing I don't like... is when you have a WIDE horse and a WIDE saddle, the saddle will roll on you. I ended up buying a Tacky Too pad from Reinsman and it solved the problem. So if your going to buy one of Sharons saddles (which I'd highly recommend) you should look into getting a Tacky Too pad from Reinsman as well.
Quality: The Quality of this saddle is Excellent!!!
I went with Courts because I looked at 100's of saddles and they seemed better quality than most. I would even rate them higher than Circle Y's or Billy Cooks. The other brands just can't compete. For the money I don't think you can get a nicer saddle.
Summary: I would recommend these saddles to anyone who has a wider horse. Your horse will thank you!!
