Purchase: Bought from Bit of Britain, about $5, on the recommendation of a friend.
Likes: This is an effective protecting wax for smooth leather. I use it on my Petrie and DevonAire dress boots, as well as a couple pairs of shoes. It leaves a satin shine, not a real high shine, but protects very well against water. I especially worked it into the stitching, as well as the leather and now I can walk just about anywhere in my tall boots without worrying about getting water inside, or messing up the finish, Just to test it out, I walked into a pond in my Petries, almost to the tops and they stayed dry inside, and when I got to shore I just stamped them and the water beaded right off. Mallard Wax has made trail riding more fun as I don't have to worry about getting the boots wet on stream crossings, unless I go over the tops (which is a different story!)
Dislikes: All boot waxes smell waxy, but this isn't really bad...
Quality: Good product.
Summary: For someone who can't keep her boots out of the water since she was a kid, this stuff is just what I needed.
