Purchase: I purchase this all purpose saddle for $400.00au second hand at horseland.
It is the older wintec 2000 model.
I bought it because i was in need of a new saddle, and it was nice looking.
Likes: I liked the equisuede seat and knee pads
it has a strong tree,
Dislikes: i disliked the gullet not being interchangeable, I also dislike this saddle because i found the saddle to wear very quickly, even with special care and cleaning and re-stuffing every 10 months.
It also sits the rider in the wrong position, pushes legs forward and seat back. making the ride uncomfortable for rider and horse. The panels are flocked, which were quite hard and i needed a foam pad. This caused my horse to rear, in result not being able to use the saddle.
Quality: I had a problem with having to re-stuff it constantly due to it wearing quickly.
The seat measured bigger then a 17 inch, it measured to a 17 and a half inch instead, even though the tag said 17inch.
Buyer beware.
My instructor told me to invest in a new saddle as these are a older style and being second hand, has had a lot of use.
Not suitable anymore.
Summary: All up the saddle is in good condition, TO LOOK AT, but underneath its looks, is a non hard wearing saddle. Not what i suspected and not suitable for my needs
