Purchase: I had been hearing from a number of sources about 5 Star Pads and went to there excellent web site. When you read why they claim to have the Worlds Finest Saddle pad it all made sense. There information is based on the actual comparative material data of all types of pad materials based on compression ratings, tensil strength and wicking ability. No other manufacturer has integrity to do this. So I figured it was worth trying and they guarantee there pads for material and workmanship.
Likes: 5 Star pads do just exactly what they say they will do! Contour of pad fits the horses super, stays in place, and eliminated some soring issues I knew was saddle related. But the pad gave me an opportunity to save up some more money until so I can get a fitted saddle.
Roping pad was unbelievable! It allowed me to use only one pad and stopped all soring and slippage!!
Dislikes: I really have not been able to find any fault with the pad. I was concerned about cleaning since it was wool felt, but they furnish a cleaning sponge and directions for cleaning.
Quality: Construction and service was A++. They are a family owned company and ship immediately if there is not a local dealer for their products. Workmanship was beautiful.
Summary: I will purchase more pads from 5 Star.
