Purchase: I buy this horse treat at my nearby local feed store for about $12. But if I had to drive an extra 30 mi to get them, I would!
Likes: This product keeps its shape without crumbling to pieces when bouncing around in my cookie pouch tied to the d-ring on my saddle (or stuffed in my jeans' pocket). While riding, I seldom drop one while feeding it to the horse because its texture is grippy. They smell wonderful and my horses go absolutely bonkers for them. Although other treats are a mite less expensive, I get such joy out of seeing my horses so eager to want them. And, isn't THEIR joy why we buy them in the first place?!!
Dislikes: I wish the bucket was easier to open. The lid cannot be opened unless you pry three sides up. A twist off threaded lid would be so much handier. Even so, I hoard all the buckets and use them for a ton of things, even birdseed and Miracle Grow plant fertilizer.
Quality: The cookies are made of grain, probably molasses, and I can smell applesauce in them. They are not at all sticky, even after slobber gets on them. A horse has no problem lipping them from your fingers and getting them past their bit to chomp.
Summary: Best horse treats on the market, bar none!
